PROJECT INFORMATION +
The Beachhouse, a boutique development of just three ultra-premium apartments Designed By Cheshire Architects on Kohimarama’s beachfront. The challenge was not only to reflect the architectural ambition of the project but to redefine perceptions of Kohi itself – a suburb seen as dated and conservative, despite being one of Auckland’s most desirable inner beaches.
The identity centres on the concept of “three,” reflected through graphic elements, composition and underlying grids. Typography is understated yet elegant, complemented by textures and materials inspired by the local environment—sand, sea, and Pōhutukawa trees. Each apartment is uniquely named to reflect its connection to the landscape: The Horizon, The Canopy, and The Shoreline.
Execution focuses on tactility and restraint. From linen-bound brochures with embossed textures to a fluid, narrative-led website, every detail reinforces the brand’s connection to place and purpose. The result is an identity that quietly redefines luxury through authenticity, simplicity, and architectural integrity.
